Step by step
The process is the same whether you are having one roller blind or a whole house.
- 1Free home visit: we look at each window, show fabrics and slats, and discuss how each room is used.
- 2Measuring: width and drop are taken at several points, and we decide recess or face fit for every window.
- 3Written quote, fitted price included.
- 4Manufacture to your exact sizes.
- 5Fitting: brackets fixed, blinds hung, levelled and tested.
Why we measure, not you
Most blind problems come from measuring. Windows are rarely square, reveals lean, and a few millimetres either way decides whether a blind clears a handle or sits neatly in the recess. When we take the measurements, getting it right is our responsibility, not yours.
Recess fit or face fit
A recess-fitted blind sits inside the window opening for a flush, built-in look, as long as there is enough depth and nothing projects. A face-fitted blind is fixed to the wall above and overlaps the opening, which blocks more light and clears handles. Our face fit versus recess fit guide explains how we decide window by window.
On the day
Fitting is clean and quick. The fitter checks each blind against its window, fixes the brackets into the right material for your walls, hangs the blind and runs it up and down to check it is level and runs freely. Chains and cords are secured with child-safety fixings.
A typical house of blinds is usually done in a single visit. You will get a quick demonstration of each type, including how to tilt, lift and clean it.
What to prepare
That is all. There is no need to take anything down yourself.
- Clear sills and the area directly in front of each window.
- Tell us about any hidden cables or pipes near the window you know of.
Choosing the blind before we measure
It helps to think about each room before the visit, although you do not need to decide anything in advance. Bedrooms usually want blackout, kitchens and bathrooms want something wipe-clean, living rooms often suit a Roman or wooden venetian, and wide patio doors suit verticals. On the survey we bring fabrics and slats so you can see them against your own walls and light, which is far more reliable than choosing from a screen. Mixing types around the house is normal, and one visit can measure and price every window at once.
After fitting
We cover Warrington and North Cheshire, within 20 miles of our Stockton Heath base, and the same team that measured is the one that fits.

No. We measure every window on a free home visit and take responsibility for the sizes.
Can blinds go inside the window recess?
Yes, when the reveal is deep enough and nothing projects. Otherwise we face fit above the opening.
